Shine Kogei is engaged in hydrophilic coating as one of its functional coating technologies. ● What is hydrophilicity? As indicated by "friendly to water," it has the effect of spreading water droplets on the surface rather than repelling them (contact angle: approximately 5°). This function is the exact opposite of hydrophobicity, which repels water droplets like beads. ● Effects of hydrophilicity By allowing water droplets to spread on the surface, clarity of vision can be ensured. Additionally, when dirt adheres to the surface, it can be easily removed due to the presence of moisture (i.e., moisture penetrates between the dirt and the substrate, lifting and removing the dirt). Shine Kogei's hydrophilic coating features a clear color and forms a film through low-temperature drying. It can create a clear-colored film without compromising the transparency of the transparent body.
